Summary
InfraSonic Monitoring “ISM” is developing a wearable cardiac monitor, CoreTrac, which detects the electrical (ECG) and mechanical (stroke volume) activity of the heart, allowing determination of cardiac output and whole body efficiency – critical assessments for athlete coaching.
Problem
Cardiac Output (CO) is a function of cardiac Stroke Volume and Heart Rate (HR). HR monitoring is commonly used in athletic training, but by ignoring stroke volume HR monitoring provides poor indication of the aerobic stages which are critical for proper training. Athletes train to increase their cardiac performance, Stroke Volume, not their maximum heart rate, a factor largely defined by genetics.
Solution
CoreTrac - a wearable hemodynamic monitor positioned over the sternum transfers critical hemodynamic information to a smart device or dedicated monitor via Bluetooth and ANT+ to assist in delivering effective coaching.
Real Time outputs include: Cardiac Output, Cardiac Power, Recovery Time, Live Training Plans, Heart Rate, Stroke Volume, True Energy Expenditure and Caloric Burn.
