We are preparing for the launch of "Hamlet Matters," a digital textbook designed to enhance the teaching experience of Shakespeare’s work, Hamlet, as well as make the literary masterpiece more relevant and accessible to the 21st century teenager. As the first textbook of a larger portfolio of Shakespeare’s works, the digital textbook will help teachers engage students in the classroom with enhanced, interactive features including customized audio and video content, easy click-through pages, and annotated pop-up references.
This educational tool will come with a new film version of "Hamlet," set in modern day New York City. While remaining extremely loyal to Shakespeare’s script, we will tell the story of Hamlet in a way that has never been done before – a 21st century setting with 21st century technology. As educators look for improved methods of teaching a curriculum, it makes perfect sense to integrate interactive tools with standard text. We are paving the way for the future of education by eliminating the need for outdated physical textbooks.
This is the first in a series of Shakespeare films and digital textbooks for schools. In our pipeline, we also have "Romeo and Juliet Matters,""Othello Matters" and Macbeth Matters."
