We are an online financial publishing firm established in the Towson, MD area. We currently own two websites.
The first is a financial blog which was established in 2007 and is currently pulling in about 2,500,000 hits and 66,000 visits per month. The second is a financial newsletter publishing site ((URL removed)) - this site went live about 3 weeks ago and is gaining momentum.
We started all of this with about 250k. Which was sufficient for setting up the infrastructure, logistics, ect. However we underestimated the cost of marketing.
We still have a good portion of our initial investment and we are selling advertising space on Jutia Group. However, in order to grab a piece of this market in a timely fashion, we are going to need more money to allocate towards getting our name out there.
With the baby boomers retiring in droves and the increasing popularity of online brokerage firms – there couldn’t be a better time to expand this type of business. That’s why we started it in the first place…
