American Ingenuity, LLC started its business in pursuit of developing successful products by contract. Specifically, the kind of products that turn a struggling young company into a $100 million a year hit overnight. Everyone knows the household names of these kinds of items: Hoola-Hoop, Diaper Genie, Pampers, Pet Rocks, Cabbage Patch Dolls, X-Tools, OXO etc. Our idea was simple, after finding interesting new inventions, use client-inventors to finance the development and product launch of their own inventions as part of a license “to manufacture and sell” agreement. By employing extremely strong connections to manufacturing facilities in China, product and development costs would be minimal. Using this business model we started our business from literally almost nothing.
