Description:
I recently took over a post secondary vocational school in southern California. IPPT Massage School specializes in training people for a career in massage therapy. Massage therapy is one of the fastest growing careers in the nation. It has been growing at about 800% a year since 1998. The school is not accredited, however, we are in the processes of applying for accreditation, which then allows our students to receive government grants. We have been a private pay school since it's opening in 1996 and with accreditation will be more accessable to a large market of potential students. What seperates us from others in our industry, is our focus on all aspects of massage. Whether, one is interested in working in the medical, the sports related, or the relaxation aspects of massage, our school has the highest level of education available to prepare any individual for a career in massage therapy. I am looking for an investor to take part in an opportunity where two industries are fast growing. Vocational schools are a lucrative business in and of themselves; adding massage therapy allows for a double winner. In addition, after we receive accreditation (12 to 14 months after applying), the worth of this business jumps 8 to 10 times it's current value. At that point, the market value of an accredited school will be approximately 1.5 to 2 million dollars. The out clause is that we could sell and still make a very healthy profit. My goal is not to become accredited and sell, but rather, open additional campuses and build a very strong and stable business, with additional programs such as medical assistants, medical billing, and nursing.
