Description: Hello: My name is Myra Eagle, I am a single female homeowner in Port Charlotte, Florida. I am also part Cherokee Indian (no records of proof, to date). From 2004-2006 I was employed on a $14.00 per hour salary with a local home builder, then when business slowed down, I was laid off without notice. I am currently employed full-time as a licensed Real Estate agent, property manager and sales agent for a great company. In 2006, when I started I was on an $11.00 per hour salary, plus commissions, plus benefits, with weekends and holidays off. Then business started to slow down, I had to agree to cut-out my salary, benefits and other perks, in order for my employer to keep the business open. I am currently working over 50 hours a week, on commission only. The business brings in $4,200+ monthly. I am the only employee in this office, and my boss knows he can trust me to run the business as if it was my own. I am an honest, hard working, single, female who has tripled the profits of my employer's business within two years of working at the company. I started with the company when they had 20 accounts, now they have over 60 accounts and still growing. Due to the economy my boss may be forced to close the doors or sell the business. I will be unemployed, and there is very little employment opportunities available, at this time. I have an opportunity to purchase the business from my employer, but I am not able to financially support my personal home expenses, business overhead expenses and the complete business loan payments. I am seriously seeking a GRANT of $30,000 to assist with the initial down payment. My broker is asking $60,000 for the business. Are there any grants available for a single female to take-over and start-up a business, I possess 7 years of experience in real estate, have been working at that same business for the past 2 years?
