Family History
The company is blessed by the extensive experience of its team and founder, a French National, Eric Piat who established Rubicon in 1987. Eric’s passion for jewellery making and his knowledge of gemstone came to him from his family heritage of many generations. Eric grew up amongst a family of stone cutters and buyers for the Swiss watch makers and high end French Jewelry manufacturers. Eric’s father Daniel Piat was the founder of the French Gemological Institute and was a well know precious stone buyer in his own right.
