We are a contract manufacturer with operations in China and headquarters in Texas. We want to buy struggling US manufacturers with product and distribution and lower costs by moving manufacturing to China (which we do now). There are several companies that are clients of ours with mature product that could be purchased for very little. Our transformation team includes ex-CFO of CompUSA stores, ex-CEO of major software company, ex-McKinsey consultants, CPAs, etc. Would very much prefer active participation by any VC principal.
