The recent opiate crisis is a major motivation of this business or app I want to develop. I am currently a practicing Physical Therapist Assistant finishing up my Doctorate of Physical Therapy May 2018. I have been practicing Physical Therapy now for 8 years and have discussed with numerous patients and consumers of PT their frustration and wanting to be able to contact PTs to get a quick assessment or insight into injuries and/or a second opinion their ailment/illness/injury on the go. This app is intended to connect consumers to PTs anywhere around the U.S. for a quick consultation initially free and with an in depth analysis a cost will be associated and that is how revenue will be generated. The connection will be done live. In this app I expect to also partner with PT clinics and physician clinics and based on the patient's proximity to those businesses associated with the app, a referral will be made. Also I plan on including a consumer section of healthful living exercises and recommendations based on evidenced based findings up-to-date. Students alike could also use this platform to ask PTs questions as well as practicing PTs on special cases they may have in the clinic and receive feedback from experienced clinicians. I hope to at least raise a start up capital of about $20,000 to start
