CCM is an investment-consulting company that develops project in the field of renewable energy sources (RES), EU Structural funds and corporate finance.
Balkan Asia Investment Partners (BAIP) is a joint-stock company registered under the Bulgarian Law. The main objective of the company is to provide high returns to its shareholders by structuring and managing a portfolio of attractive investments in the sphere of photovoltaic energy in the region.
Currently BAIP is raising its capital through initial private placement of shares and starts preparation procedures for the realization of IPO. Part of the increased capital will be used for purchasing options of photovoltaic plants in a development stage and continuing the procedures till finalizing.
It is expected until mid-2010 the company to be listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange – Catalist segment. The main goal is to increase company’s capital in the amount of 15 – 30 mil EUR which will be used for finalizing the pre-construction permit stage and developing the power plants till putting them into operation.
There are two options for the exit of the investment:
• by exploitation of the parks and realization of current income or
• by selling of the operational projects to interested long-term investors.
The timeframe for realizing the investment process is three years. We expect high return of the investment in both cases due to the lower investment and operating costs during the last year, the temporary reduction in the price of the equipment necessary to build solar power plants and investment properties, ability to acquire photovoltaic plants in a development phase of minimum prices by buying options in them, etc.
