Capital needed to develope line of surf clothing that is truely afordable. If you have ever purchased clothing for your children from a surf store, the average sweater is $70.00 + and the average hat is $28.00. All the products are made in Asia or Bangladesh then marked up way past the point of being afordable for most middle class families.
I have spoken to many surf shop owners who believe that the big companies that make surfware like Volcome, Billabong, Burton and Gernade are taking advantage of the consumers, especially the parents.
Peer preasure with regards to cloting is real, there is currently no line of afordable surf clothing out there, the big names I used above have priced themselfs out of the middle class market. I went to a local surf shop in NJ the other day and
