Description:
I'm interested in starting a coffee "delivery" service - aka, Java On Wheels. I'd purchase a custom coffee truck (similar to this: (URL removed)) and build contracts with business to be at their establishments for a given amount of time every day for their employees to buy coffee/food. Every day I'm at work I wish I could call somebody up to deliver coffee, a latte, a breakfast burrito, a muffin, anything! Sure, we have coffee here at work - but it's terrible and nobody likes it. We bring in our own and use a french press, or just buy Starbucks on the way in to work. At a job I had in Fort Collins, CO we had a company that would bring in breakfast burritos every Friday morning at 10am, they would be there for 15 min. Every Friday the break room was full and they ran out of burritos!
When starting out, I'll choose businesses within close proximity to each other to keep gas costs low. When the idea takes off and business is booming I'll just buy more trucks, hire employees and do the same thing in other areas. This is also not only a service for businesses but will be for festivals, conventions, parties, ski resorts, etc.
