I am looking to start a nice bowling center in West Monroe, La. The appoximate cost from ground up of what I see is ~3 million. The are appoximately 60,000 people within a 25 mile radius and very little in the area for entertainment. There is a run down bowling center in the area, but is in very poor shape. Beyond the one, there isn't another center for close to 100 miles in all directions. Locally there are 2 movie theaters, one mini-golf, and a small entertainment facility for kids. I have an excellent site in mind with freeway visibility in town that is very reasonable in price. I am very capable of most all the leg work associated with the actual start up and set-up of this project, just mostly need monetary help. I currently work two full time jobs that I hate(a retail pharmacy and a hospital pharmacy) and would love to put in the same amount of time with something that I love. Also after the hurricanes of 2005 and 2008 there is a very large population boom in our area of people moving up from southern Louisiana to northern Louisiana. These people are accustomed to having things to do and places to go, and there's just not much here. I want to be a part of bringing things to the area.
