I have 80 customer contracts that are leased to own vehicles. The average contract lasts 36 months. The total amount still owed for the contracts is just over $1,000,000.00. The company still owns the titles to the vehicles that is worth appromimately $500,000 according to the NADA and Kelley Blue Book.
To break it down:
I buy a car for $5,000 that books for $7,000. A customer then gives $1,500 down payment and agrees to pay $350-$400 a month for the next three years.
