Our company has developed an NFC mobile wallet that uses cloud based authentication and bypasses the secure element manufactured in a mobile phone, microSD or SIM. Our wallet uses "host card emulation" as a way to circumvent the secure element altogether and by using the NFC host controller in the phone we can direct the phone to pull credit card data from a server in the cloud.
The advantages of our mobile wallet product are obvious since there is no Carrier or OEM control over the secure element. Our marketing plan also allows us to offer customers with ANY type of mobile phone (smart or non-smart) to start using it as a contactless mobile device today.
This is an idea that even Google and Isis have not been able to achieve.
