Description: Formed by industry specialists in risk management and loss prevention CleanCart LLC was formed out of the retail industry's necessity to stop one of their largest areas of loss, B.O.B. (Bottom of Basket),from their shopping carts and to document intentional/unintentional loss of products by controlling human behaviors. BOB Loss has been a longtime dilemma for Super Market Operators with BOB (URL removed)ses are estimated at $13/day per lane (conservatively). STOP THE PERFECT CRIME *Pure innocence is prevalent and common, as well as theft. *Friendly “Shop-Lifting” relationships are a contributing problem. *They work in Teams *Risk is Calculated and Timing is very well Planned *ORC losses are on the rise… i.e. Laundry Detergents *High Volume days and Holidays prevent extra efforts to catch items quickly and efficiently as customers check out AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGIES ARE MARGINAL *Mirrors are not monitored and have no measurement and require Human Discipline. *In-lane Camera Systems Are Rated at 70 % efficient. *Over Head Video Systems are rated at 52% efficient. *We fill the Gap in Losses to 97% Plus.” *All Available Systems have no measurements *Overhead Video systems are based on behavior modifications that are not effective. *In-lane Camera Systems are not able to see anything that is not included in the reference library. CURRENT TECH WITH PATTERN RECOGNITION IS A PROBLEM *Most Produce cannot be inspected with pattern recognition. *Most Bakery Items cannot be inspected with Pattern Recognition. *Butcher Block items wrapped in paper cannot be inspected. *Most expensive and small store items will not be recognized with video pattern recognition. *Fast Cart movement causes camera image to be blur, rendering pattern recognition system useless. *Long reference libraries will increase inspection time. It is recognized by the industry that Human Behavior is the major contributor to unaccounted items leaving the store. • Interaction with customers are distracting • NO view of actual items in BOB. • Constant similar noises of beeps that blend-in hearing • NO accountability of performance on lost items • Cashier must leave their station to physically view BOB NOW CLEANCART IS THE ANSWER *Validation of Items in the BOB area are now constantly & visually recorded and tracked. *Personal, private TV mini monitor for Cashier *Now there is a 24/7 logged surveillance on all actions of the Cashier and BOB. Cart in lane Identification • Know when the Cart is present • Know when to inspect the BOB area will allow for a more successful inspection. • Inspection of BOB area at appropriate time * Immediate Notification to the Cashier when items are seen. • Annunciation with audible and lights * Validation of Items in the BOB area • Provide Cashier with Visual image of items and Prompt for a validation of the items to be added to the check out. * Flexibility of options based on the any retail environment. * Customer is aware of inspection Station from an illuminated glow at base of BOB Provisional Patent has been filed as well a (URL removed)rently in discussions with multiple top grocery store chains, many of which want a demo ASAP. There is only one major competitor who is 2-3X more expsensive and their technology is not efficient. Funds needed to hire a programmer to configure software and hardware for two demo units (2 lanes) as well as other corporate business expenses i.e. legal, marketing, T&E, etc. We have confirmed with retailers that this is what the industry needs and they have asked us to help them "stop the bleeding". This is a very simple tech solution with already built in demand and very little barrier to entry.
