Description: NBO Enterprises is a newly created boxing league that will utilize a patent pending performance-based scoring system in lieu of a controversial 10-point must score system of traditional boxing. This league will be organized much like the major professional sports. All boxers that sign a contract with this league will only fight boxers who are in this league. The purpose of the league is to determine a boxing champion annually. This league will have 64 ranked boxers competing for a championship title, 128 unranked boxers competing for a ranking, and many prospect boxers competing to get drafted into the league. Our championship fight will be the only pay-per-view fight each year, allowing boxing fans to appreciate the journey of the two remaining ranked boxer’s and their route to a title fight. This league has divided the U.S. into 8 different geographical regions and placed 8 ranked boxers and 16 unranked boxers in each region to compete against each other. This league’s regular season will begin in early January and end in mid July. This league will have a schedule boxing events in all 8 regions on Saturday nights during the regular season. Every boxing event in this league will consist of 4 fights. The first two fights will be between prospect boxers trying to impress the scouts and fans in hopes of being drafted in the fall. The third fight will be between two unranked boxers competing in a double elimination tournament in hopes a gaining a ranking for the following season. The last fight will be between two ranked boxers competing for the best boxing record in their division in hopes of advancing to the boxoffs. The ranked boxer with the best record in every region advances to the boxoffs. The boxoffs is the playoffs of boxing and is a single elimination tournament. The last two ranked boxers in the boxoffs compete for this leagues championship title. There is no need for outside sanctioning and this league is not a boxing promotions company. We are a league and we do not have a financial interest in a particular boxer, unlike boxing promoters and their companies. Our interest is in the integrity, excitement, and organization of the sport. Our scoring system is performance-based. Every boxing action has a point value associated with it, therefore the boxer who outperforms his opponent is declared the winner based on points scored not observed opinions. This league discourages and penalizes boxers who hugs or clinches. Boxers in this league compete on a rope-less circular platform and the boxer who knocks his opponent off of the fighting area is awarded additional points. This will encourage the boxers to remain in the center of the platform and score points, making the fight more exciting for the fans and media. The participants, officials, and spectators will become familiar with this scoring system. Everyone involved with each fight will be on the same page, much like the major professional sports and hardly like traditional boxing as a whole.
