Pelkey Johns has secured US (patent number 7,299,955) and applied for foreign patents for what we believe is the next major advance in coffee. We have solved the age-old problem of "burnt" coffee. Our carafe keeps coffee hot and fresh on the burner for as long as 12 hours or more with no degradation of flavor and/or aroma.
The initial design is a direct replacement for the standard restaurant/office type carafe. Home brewers will follow.
We are seeking startup funding to proceed with the building of stereolithographic prototypes to for the purpose of demonstrating to the big coffee marketers such as: Starbucks, MacDonald's, 7-11, Duncan Donuts, etc.
Note that MacDonald's alone, with more than 31,000 franchises worldwide, discards more than 100,000 pots of coffee each day in order to serve fresh coffee to their customers.
Coffee is the number two commodity in the world, second only to oil.
