While hosting is a fairly competitive industry, Foxden brings a lot to the table, as our services are provided regionally and local. One of the big components to Foxden’s mission, is keeping Alaskan’s data local, and accessible within the state. Another key component, is not keeping said data in the lower 48. This provides a unique opportunity to fill a gap. Of the very few company’s that provide hosting services, and network engineering services in Alaska, Foxden is the only purpose built company trying to achieve just hosting and infrastructure design services. Most, if not all of the competition, are just communications services, with the promise to also host some select applications, with high costs, and strict limitations. Foxden believes customer data belongs to the customer, and we strive to host any application, website, or service our clients need, and at competitive industry rates.
While Alaska has numerous outsourced IT, web design, and education companies, very few have the means to host their data in Alaska, and keep it cheaper for their clients. Foxden thrives in this area, by partnering with large name software companies, Foxden can bridge a gap in the local community by providing enterprise level hosting, at an affordable cost, even to other IT industries in the area.
