Description:
Beers Capital Management is a startup hedge fund in the very early stages of development. The investment strategy is not earnings or fundamentals based, but rather takes advantage of certain properties of equities that can be exploited systematically. This is a quantitative fund. There would be very limited transparency into the investment decision process. A simulation of the strategy using a smaller subset of the stock universe than that which I inted to use yields a return of 20.8% per year with a 16.5% standard deviation. The sharpe ratio would only get better with a larger universe.
