I am currently involved with an opportunity in my Home Town to Buy out the shareholders in a local Gym.
There are four partners who are currently ready to bail.
The Venture would secure 60% of the company to my company. The remaining 40% would be held by the partner who has been the "face" of the company and is a very knowledgeable in sports, sports nutrition and training.
He has agreed to stay and help move the company into the next phase.
The company has been open since 2006. It had a great first couple of years and then showed a decline when the market dropped, but it has kept its head up.
We believe this gym is a good contestant for franchising.
We would like to secure the partners 60%, which would give the business the capital it needs to update it's facilities.
We would then like to begin the process of franchising, focusing on small people oriented communities.
