Description: In the summer of 2009, my colleague and I came together with a common concern—the declining state of our indoor living environments, specifically the quality of the air we breathe. That August GreenSpacers, a green technology start-up, was established. Our mission was simple; eliminate poor indoor air quality throughout the United States in a manner that is effective, innovative and affordable. So we began learning how to create the, “air purifiers of the future”. These pursuits lead to the discovery of NASA research whereby they were using hydroculture plants to grow fresh air in space biospheres. What an elegant discovery! The air purifiers of the future are the plants of the future! For the past year, our company has been using those hydroculture plants and research to remediating the indoor air.
