First of all, I would like to say a few words about the technology which applies the innovative preparation elaborated by our company. It is known that the factories storing and processing grain are associated with fire risk. The combination of grain dust of certain concentration with air and a spark/fire may become the source of explosion or fire.
In every country there is legislation or normative acts that provide adherence to the rules which aim is to reduce dust emission during grain processing and to prevent explosion and fire. As a rule aspiration of transport equipment and manufacturing machinery is used to prevent explosion and fire, to reduce dust emission and to stave off casual spark formation.
Russian and European facilities deal with dust as following: the facilities collect dust suspension through air cyclones and high-power ventilation system in special bunkers. Then the dust is utilized. Such technology is imperfect because it demands great expenditure of energy and large number of maintenance staff. American scientists suggested another way of dealing with grain dust.
In the USA and some other countries the method of covering grain with white mineral medical oil is widely used to deal with grain dust. At the beginning of processing grain is covered with white oil, then it is send either for storing or for shipping. During processing grain is covered two times: 100 gr. of oil per ton is used during receipt and 100 gr. per ton is used during shipping. The oil is sprayed under pressure through spray burners and oil mist covers grain with thin film. As a result only small part of grain dust emits by grain friction as well as by friction with operative parts of equipment.
Such method has been allowed in the USA since 1982 and now it is used on 600 elevators in 36 states. Food and Drug Administration, Inspection of labour protection and industrial hygiene and Federal Grain Inspection allowed grain covering with white oil at a ratio of 200 gr. per ton if it is to be used for food production and 600 gr. per ton if it is to be used for fodder production.
There is no necessity to carry out aspiration if grain is covered with white or vegetable oil in combination with modern manufacturing machinery and transport equipment such as hermetical noria, belt conveyers, hermetic trays and brunch pipes.
Shortcomings of white oil:
• It is forbidden to use white oil in agriculture on the territory of Europe, the Ukraine and Russia
• Cost price of 1 litre of white oil is 5 times higher than that one of “Muzalin”
• White oil penetrates in grain and makes its consumer characteristics worse
Shortcomings of vegetable oil:
• Vegetable oil is strong oxidant. It penetrates in grain and makes its consumer characteristics worse
• Cost price of 1 litre of vegetable oil is 4 times higher than that one of “Muzalin”
• Period of storing of grain covered with vegetable oil grows 2 months shorter
Our company has been working on elaboration of dust collector “Muzalin” applied for grain covering since March 2007. After completing its testing we have got following results:
1. The preparation is safe for consumers. (Its components have no danger for a man, this is proved by toxicological expert examination)
2. The preparation is simple to use
3. The preparation has wide operating range of temperature (from +60ºC to -35ºC)
4. The preparation has no negative influence on grain (It remains on the surface of grain and does not change consumer characteristics of grain and of the products made of it)
5. Producing of the preparation is cheap. (The components of the preparation are easily available on Russian and foreign markets and their price remains much the same for 10 years).
6. The preparation has long-lasting effect of dust collection. (Ones used, the preparation is capable to reduce dust emission on grain for 4 months)
Approximate amount of consumption of “Muzalin”: to the present moment there are 3 enterprises in Russia with annual total amount of consumption 2 100 t. Besides within next 4 years 4 new enterprises with annual total amount of consumption 2 700 t will start up. These terminal complexes carry out export shipment of grain from the ports of Krasnodar territory and Rostov oblast. They are responsible for 98% of Russian grain export (about 24 000 000 t of grain per year). There are 9 enterprises in the Ukraine applying the technology of grain covering. Their annual consumption of the preparation is 4 000 t. Speaking about Europe, only Rumania has an enterprise applying grain covering technology. (Total consumption of the preparation is 600 t per year). In the USA there are 600 enterprises in 36 states that apply grain covering technology. Total consumption market of the preparation can be calculated as follows: total amount of grain produced in the USA is 58 000 000 t per year. There are 4 cycles of its production. 200 gr. of the preparation is used at the first cycle. Thus potential consumption market in the USA is 46 400 t per year. Worldwide consumption of the preparation for grain covering is supposed to be 56 800 t per year for the next 4 years. The grain covering technology is necessary but it is hampered by the preparations which are applied on the market now. These are white oil and vegetable oil. But consumers and bulk sellers of covered grain are not satisfied with operation of both preparations.
Economic characteristics of “Muzalin”:
Dosage of any preparation is 200 gr./t (200 gramme per ton of grain). It concerns white oil, as well as vegetable oil and “Muzalin”. Their price is (at the moment of writing the letter 1 euro is equal to 42,87 rubles):
White oil – approximately 28 roubles per litre
Vegetable oil – approximately 25 roubles per litre
“Muzalin” – 4 roubles per litre. It is cost price. An effective commercial price is 20 roubles per litre.
Potential volume of sales is 1 136 000 000 roubles per year. “Muzalin” has flexible price policy and high consumer characteristics. Thus it has an opportunity to get major part of sales in the USA, Europe, CIS countries and Russia and can stimulate worldwide selling of equipment used for grain covering.
Apart from “Muzalin” our company would like to represent you a few ecologically clean preparations that increase crop and make its quality better. Using these preparations, one can reduce usage of analogous preparations to 50-70%.
We are sure that our cooperation will be mutually beneficial and long-lasting. We are ready to consider various forms of cooperation and are certain that our future meeting will have results positive for both sides.
Yours sincerely,
