Chrysalis Orchestra Inc plans to launch Chrysalis Rock Orchestra,
a touring orchestra presenting a sophisticated rock show, a
fun evening of music and stories, for an all-ages audience.
The orchestra will play dynamic reinterpretations of the great
compositions of the rock era, performing as many as one hundred
shows a year to audiences in cities across the United States and
Canada.
The company’s objective is to build a valuable brand with a
highly scalable product. Chrysalis Rock Orchestra is comprised
of approximately forty classically trained musicians, carefully
selected for their talent as musicians and performers and for their
love of rock music. They have the freedom to improvise, perform
and entertain, working with the top contemporary arrangers to
perform some of the best-known songs of our time.
It is planned that the orchestral interpretations would retain the
energy and passion of the originals and take the direction that
the original composers might have followed if they’d had forty
musicians to work with rather than three or four!
