The problem
Every day there are an estimated 21,000 infants and children under the age of five who are dying because somewhere in the feeding process their food was cross contaminated with harmful bacteria or disease. Because of this in 2014 there were just a little over eight million children who died before reaching their fifth birthday. Ready Made has a solution which can save the lives of many of these children.
What is our solution for the problem?
The Ready Made Baby Bottle (RMBB) is a one-time-use recyclable baby bottle that comes from the factory bacteria free and is ready to serve. This means at point of consumer contact the RMBB will be completely assembled, filled with a bacterium free food source and will be ready to feed. The end user simply removes the safety cap, feeds the infant then recycles the container. When feeding an infant with the RMBB absolutely no assembly, filling or preparation is required. Many companies are currently offering a container refund which is an option we are in favor of.
The implication is the caregiver will be able to feed a child a bacteria free baby bottle filled with the finest contents and never have to touch the food source or any of the bottle parts involved in the feeding process thus completely eliminating cross contamination to the infant. Therefore the RMBB provides a “safety net” between the infant and harmful disease and bacterium which will reduce doctor visits and saves lives in a humanitarian setting such as a disaster where currently over 90 % of the infants die because they ingest harmful bacteria and disease.
The majority of our target market share would facilitate infant formula, but be inclusive of a variety of food sources such as juices, medicines, vitamins and supplements. Thus the RMBB fulfills the social and humanitarian need for a bacterium free, convenient, recyclable one-time-use baby bottle.
Ready Made has Patent protection
Realizing how useful the Ready Made baby bottle would be in both commercial and humanitarian situations, Dr. Corwin P. Littell filed and received Utility Patent #6,737,091 for his new baby bottle invention. To further insure the longevity of the product Dr. Littell has recently made substantial improvements to the bottle under a second Utility Patent application (#14496474) and has filed International Utility Patent application (number) which will give Ready Made Inc. the soul rights to this invention Worldwide.
What makes the Ready Made Bottle different than a traditional baby bottle?
1. From the factory the RMBB is completely assembled and ready to serve having; a container, teat, teat ring, safety cap and is filled with a bacteria free food source
2. In the manufacturing process the food source is sealed within the container.
3. The RMBB can only be used one time
4. These unique features allow the caregiver to feed the infant without touching any of the bottle parts that feed the child or the food source in the bottle.
5. Because of these unique features the RMBB completely eliminates the possibility of cross-contamination between the caregiver and the infant.
6. The Ready Made baby bottle is shelf stable for 12 months.
We are currently having 2000 samples made with the intent to send samples to buyers from major supermarkets, convenience stores and box stores. We have an LOI for 200,000 units/month to China from a distributor with over 25,000 stores. We must be able to manufacture 10million/units per month for this distributor if needed. Our co-packer has this capability.
We have had orders come in after natural disasters.
We have a $15 Billion annual revenue milk processing company interested in putting their branded formula in our bottles.
We have gotten excellent feedback at the Natural Products expo from buyers at Wal-Mart, CVS and Government Post Exchange Network.
Buyers and distributors are waiting for product samples, which will be completed by November 2015.
We are seeking capital to build out the manufacturing line once orders have been secured.
