Description: ePRepSolutions offers the first and only fiscal planning and management application, the Pricing and Service Sustainability (PASS™) software, specific to tracking the real cost of service provision in government, including all direct and indirect costs for federal, state and local parks and recreation organizations. The necessity for such an application has grown exponentially in recent years due to the overall downturn in the United States economy and the resulting stagnation of parks and recreation budgets, as well as increased interest in governmental and non-profit agency accountability. ePRepSolutions targets the more than 9,000 municipal parks and recreation agencies nationwide, state agencies including state park systems (e.g., Arizona State Parks, Georgia State Parks), federal agencies including the National Forest Service and the National Park Service, and non-profit agencies including the 2,686 YMCA’s of America. Presently, there are no participants in the marketplace providing a similar or competitive product. ePRepSolutions was founded by Matthew Hickey in Boulder, Colorado in 2009. The inspiration for the Pricing and Service Sustainability (PASS™) application came from Matthew’s own experiences trying to effectively manage fiscal challenges within a municipality, emerging industry patterns, and economic shifts in government. Currently, capital investment to fully fund the development of PASS™ is being sought. All requirements needed to start development have been completed (e.g., technical documents, prototype, etc.) and development of the web-enabled version of the application will begin immediately upon receipt of funding. ePRepSolutions has, to date, secured three Beta test sites for the PASS™ software development process. These sites include: City of Austin (TX) Parks and Recreation Department; Town of Brookline (MA) Parks and Recreation Department; and City of Commerce City (CO) Parks and Recreation Department. These sites were the first approached and their strong interest and rapid agreement to participate in the beta process illustrates the strong interest in the market for this type of solution. Additional conversations with other potential betas and potential clients (including the National Park Service) have yielded similar enthusiasm. Governments have not traditionally thought in terms of profit and loss or fully understood their true costs. Even those who did gain this understanding have difficulty using that knowledge to align their operations and financial structure with their values and priorities. There are many unique aspects of government financials such as mandatory expenditures and regulatory enforcement (just to name two) spending that must take place on a regular basis. And while many government agencies do have ERP systems, PASS™ plays a fundamentally different role. The ERP system may be able to provide some data used for financial management, but PASS™ provides much more. PASS™ takes agency data and transforms it into insight about the financial dynamics of the organization. Even more importantly, PASS™ gives prescriptive advice to the agency about how to meet goals and priorities within its constraints. This ability to prescribe strategies and tactics is well beyond what ERP or other financial systems can do. It is the embodiment of the Company’s collective knowledge and experience that provides for this within PASS™. The PASS™ fiscal planning and management application is a unique application based on a proprietary approach to analysis and fiscal management. ePRepSolutions has a patent pending on the PASS™ application and its methodology.
