Executive Summary
Spooty’s restaurants will be the first fast food chain with a focus on Bavarian specialties within the United States. We will start in Orlando, central Florida, because of the high tourist density throughout the year. This will give us the probability of sustainable growth.
Customers & Market
2.6 million people live in the Orlando area (Source: Anysite Online) with an average family income of USD 59.000. Statistics say that every inhabitant spends 49% of his available income that he uses for food, in restaurants (Source: national Restaurant Association). 46.5 million people will visit the Orlando area in 2011 and that’s exactly why we selected this area for our start. Through our innovative, healthy products and our rich entertainment system we can get known over the borders of Florida without the initial need to expand there.
Products & Margin
The Spooty’s restaurants offer a variety of new innovative products which aren’t available on the fast food market at the moment. This ranges from “Bavarian Hot Dogs” (= Bosna), “Spooty’s Burgers” (= Leberkäseburger) and “Wienerschnitzel Burger” to delicious deserts, such as “Bavarian Krapfen” (= Marmeladekrapfen) and different kind of yoghurts. Next to these innovative and new products we want to offer a “green line” to support our nutrition-conscious customers.
We also would import local Bavarian beer to increase the continuity and authenticity of our company. Due to the fact that we produce most of our products ourselves, we are able to cut down the costs very easily and get very high margins out of that. This is also another fact why we can have sustainable growth at no risk.
Yield
The forecast calculations show a sustainable growth of the DB3 yield within the first four business years, up to USD 2.8 million. Due to that we can ensure an average interest rate of 13.5% p.a. in the first four years.
Strategy & Perspective
With restrictive cost controlling and strategic expansion, we want to expand our company with at least three new restaurants per year. This means that after the fourth business year we will own 12 productive restaurants which will give us the needed reputation for selling licenses for franchising. The search for good potential franchisers will be the next logical step.
