Description:
I have a fledgling pastry shop that has been open since April 2007. We had been operating at nearly break even; however, my family member who was helping me with my operating capital, was hit hard by the drop in the stock market and is no longer able to help me through our first year. My business has developed a good customer base and I have a very good reputation in my field. This business has every reason to succeed. It was unfortunate for me that the economic crisis coincided with my first year. It is critical for me to locate someone who would be willing to invest to help with my operating capital for the next six months. The business can pay for most of the day to day expenses, but I need the "pillow" to help with my rent. I am an S corp and I have my business plan which I would be happy to provide. I hold classes at my shop once a month and am in the process of setting up a charity event with the American Cancer Society in our area to be held at my shop. I have other businesses in our community who will be partnering with me in this endeavor. I am very aggressive in promoting my business. I have a bachelor's degree from Johnson & Wales University in pastry arts. I have been providing wedding cakes in the community since the inception of my business and I have taken steps to schedule appointments with wedding planners, caterers, etc., to solicit business. I was a vendor at the Bellisima Bridal Show at the local Hyatt Hotel in July and was approached by Bloomingdale's to partner with them for weddings. I feel that my business has a good future and deserves the chance to get through this rough economic time to proof itself. Please contact me with any questions or if you need any further information from me. Thank you so much for any help you may be able to provide.
