Description: Dear Sirs, let me introduce to you our project. We have got a new product for an enormous market. The product is fire-resistant glass and glazings. We will provide the market in Germany, Europe and elsewhere with a range of fire-resistant glass types in the categories EI30 – EI 120. This glasses offer increasing levels of protection, which is measured in defined time periods (30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes) and in terms of Integrity and Insulation as designated by the European Standards. These fire-resistant glasses are specifically designed to provide consistently high levels of protection against fire together with the full range of properties traditionally associated with glass: • Fully approved according to the relevant standards (tests have already taken place in Switzerland and in Italy) • For use in a whole variety of building applications as fire-resistant glazing, that means in approved glazing systems • highest possible light transmission • Design options available to optimise glazing performance concerning energy control, solar control, acoustic insulation, security and safety. We will concentrate on the high-performanc-glasses, because there are only three competitors on the market and the prices per square meter are much higher than in the lower classes, that means at least 20% of the sales volume is profit. The estimated market for fire-resistant glass in Europe is 600.000m²/year, not including doors. Less than one percent of this market will lead to a respectable profit for our new company. The application of these glasses is independent of the so-called crisis we have got at the moment – moreover it is an advantage for our product, because a lot of money is being given to towns, countries and other regional authorities in order to further the economy. A considerable part of this money will be spent for the renovation of schools and other public buildings. Here the rigid regulations for fire resistance require these glasses. We are able to produce these glasses for a better price, with better properties and with quicker delivery. Big companies as well as small companies are our target group and we know that many small manufacturers in the building sector would be glad for an alternative to the existing glasses. My personal data concerning this business: - over ten years experience with fire-resistant glazings as sales manager in one of the leading companies in Germany - managing director in a small company that produces fire-resistant glass - certified specialist in passive fire protection - accordingly a lot of experience with fire tests, the authorities which are responsible for the approvals, good contacts to companies in the field of producing fire resistant glazings and doors My partner Wolfgang Spitza has also a long history in the field of fire-resistant products for the building industy and we are absolutely sure that this project will lead to a prospering company with a tremendous potential for worldwide expansion. We hope that this short outline of our project will help you with your decision. Yous sincerely
