The House of the Butterfly is a Retreat centre in Bulgaria for families with a child who has life threatening illness or has died.
There are over 25,000 children living in the Uk at any one time who will die prematurely. Support services for families are limited with most being provided by Voluntary organisations. The House of the Butterfly will provide a place where families, and thier children can go to relax and try to come to terms with their future or past loss. The Estate will include a small holding with Kitchen Garden, livestock and and a studio for arts based activities. Bulgaria has been chosed as location for its excellent value property with maximum space, and good access to resources in terms of recreation , health and culture.
