Flex Data Solutions, Inc. is the healthcare software division ofahealthcare consulting firm. The consulting firm (Henderson Hopper & Assoc. LLC)contracts with small to medium sized healthcare providers on accountability issues such as risk management, continuous quality imporvement programs (cqi), quality management, licesures, accreditations. In these contacts we were continuosly confronted with poor agency records, both paper and electronic based, that made it excessivley difficult to obtain the data necessary to produce valid reports and recommendations. While we recommended that these organizations migrate from their clincial paper records to a computer based system as most have already done with their business and finance records, we discovered that some had speant hundreds of thousands of dollars to develop software only to find that it did not work or it did not meet their needs. As the accountability bar in healthcare continues to be raised, the need for affordable customized enterprise level IT systems for the small and medium sized healthcare organizations is urgeant.
