DataFlow Business Solutions was established in 2002 by Walid (Mario) Hmeidani in Windsor Ontario as Sole Proprietorship. Started operation out of Mario’s home in 2003 and moved to a professional office in March 2005 where it is currently located.
The company was incorporated in 2008 as “6770436 Canada Inc. doing business as DataFlow Business Solutions”.
DataFlow started as ‘Microsoft Certified Business Solution Partner’. The certification was granted by Microsoft, after passing several exams, to resell and customize Microsoft business applications such as Business Financials and Retail Management Systems.
We currently employ two full time software developers at our Windsor location and outsource or use the services of overseas software developers when needed.
Over the last three years we have developed few niche market applications and we feel that now is the right time to market and sell a couple of these applications in North America and worldwide.
These products will be sold as licenses now and offered as subscription, ‘Software as a Service’, in a pay as you go model later. Along with the software itself we expect substantial revenue from consulting, implementation and customization services.
The main distribution channel will be the internet where the customers can pay for and download the software right away. They will also be able to purchase and pay for any additional services they may require.
Customers will be able to download and watch training videos from our web site. Additional support can be provided using remote connectivity. Travel is an option but we expect it to be minimal.
Marketing will be done mainly through direct marketing and internet. Since these are very specific niche markets, we’ll purchase mailing lists, use a drip campaign (letters, cards) to have the prospects sign up to get informative free reports and newsletters) and encourage them to visit our web site where they can download product brochures and watch demonstrations.
