Description: I have been a transportation broker for 15 years and have made a very good living. However, with the downturn in the economy and increased costs, my business has been greatly affected. For the first time in years, I have had to use my credit cards to help me pay my phones, utilities, and office expenses. I can't continue doing that. I am an independent contractor, paying all my taxes and expenses. I operate my brokerage as an agent for a company and run under their authority. I'm just looking for a small influx of money to pay my phones, my office expenses, etc., to get me through the next 3-6 months. I have to believe that those still standing at the end of this year will survive. It's heartbreaking to see so many companies losing everything. When they go down, so do I. Without drivers, I have no freight. I can't get freight without drivers. I'm 53 years old with a good reputation in the business and great experience in all aspects of trucking. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated--a recommendation for a new shipper, new carriers willing to work, money to keep my doors open. Anything would be a godsend. Thanks!
