AIM has two projects that are in the initial set-up stages: 1. TAG - Teens Against Gang-warfare This project entails a monthly newsletter containing relative articles on national violent crimes/statistics etc together with local news of violent crime and steps being taken to stop it. The local police are supportive of the project and will be recieving copies of project plans and all newsletters. The project will involve teens raising funds and helping in the local community, education from experts on the nature of gangs and violent crime , providing initiatives to interact on a higher level with the local community by way of fundraising events for victims and safety to the local neighbourhood e.g funding door locks for elderly or vulnerable people in the community. TAG will also hold an annual Bonanza Day for the community where there will be music, food, fundraising events, information stalls, such as, the local fire station, army cadets, sports hall, weopans expert on the dangers of weopans and gang culture, speakers from the police, youth organisations etc, prizegiving of Ipods, mobiles, techno [Donated] for those teens that have helped in the past year. Etc We are looking for donations/funding for printing costs, computer equipment, initiatives/prizes for teens, initial setting up costs for fundraising events. 2. DARE - DRAKE ASSOCIATION for REGENERATION and ENLIGHTENMENT - 'Finding the way home...' The DARE project gives hope to those young people that are homeless and/or misguided. Will provide homes/rooms for young people to support an emotional healing process, educate, train and encourage a successful future and ultimately ensure the young person can go out into the world able to cope and support themselves. The project will be carried out with guidance from homeless groups, social services, connextions and youth groups. The project requires a large amount of funding to enable purchase of a property. We have located a suitable property and are looking for cash donations/investment for property purchase, renovation, furnishings etc. Also ongoing costs for building maintenance, staff wages etc
