Hello, my name is Mariah Barnes, I am 25 years old, I am a wife and mother of a 3-year-old. My small business is called Diamondz Beauty & Boutique, named after myself (Biological name) This business has been my dream since I was a small girl living in the foster system, from the age of 6 to (URL removed) the age of 6 I was sent into foster care and so after I was adopted and given a new name identity. During that process I never forgot my biological name and family, and I wanted to locate them when I was of age. Growing up I was that child that stayed in the mirror, and always wanted to look before leaving the house. My foster mom often yelled at me because I was such a beauty queen. I always had a dream of doing something with beauty and I just wanted to help people stay ''pretty’ ‘as I would say back then. I wanted to do something that would help woman all over the world. Beauty has been a passion for as long as I can remember. After having my son I did go through a small area of depression and I was not comfortable in my own skin, then I started to play around with the idea of makeup and lashes, and after that my ideas grew bigger and bigger until I came up with a plan to fulfill my dreams and make sure my son would always be take care of. I know my business is small and a very common business to pursue but so much support and love in my community, I also have a large client base that targets all ages so all woman and children will benefit. With the help of a good Investor, my business could be worldwide.
