Description:
HOPSCOTCH! The Musical is a production that was written to illustrate the lives of crime victims, post crime. The actors are real life crime victims themselves, and are honoring the celebration of life and recovery. This musical enlisted an orchestra for large venues, and a house band for smaller venues. Our talent crosses the boundaries of many genre's, placing punk rock singers and opera singers on a stage together. We have blind and deaf performers and depict a real world scenario where crime does not discriminate. The show is suitable for anyone ages 12 and up. There is no crime or violence in our show and the language is clean, making this a palatable performance for anyone, male or female, and from any walk of life. We have been preforming across Colorado at major venues, and the show thus far has been self-funded, with the heart and dedication only truly mission driven people can deliver. See out website at (URL removed) to see our cast biographies, demos of the songs, rehearsal and promotional video and photos. Our goal is to provide great entertainment as well as resources for, and awareness of the local agencies who serve these communities in the aftermath of crime. Due to the recent sensationalism in the media of domestic violence, our show was released at a pivotal time. We do not label people, point fingers, or focus on the bad stuff. We chose to sensationalize families and individuals, who through their own challenges and every day journey are the true heroes. Thank you for your interest in HOPSCOTCH! The Musical.
