I am in the process of starting my own business, but I am in search of investors that believe in my goals and are willing to take a risk with me by providing startup capitol. I currently work in the music industry, but feel tied down to an inefficient system. I aspire to branch out on my own and fully commit myself to launching my own record label, and run things differently than present day. Even though it may seem like a high-risk endevour, given that the business is in the ever-changing entertainment industry, I have developed my business plan around highly successful business models. Newer independent artists are becoming self-contained corporations that are isolated from outside interference. Today, these artists can sell one-fifth of what they used to sell and make an equal profit to artists in the 90’s and earlier. This is because so many people had their hand stuck inside the cookie jar back then. My intent is to dissolve all those traditional methods and start fresh. A strong emphasis is to be placed on digital distribution, and new technologies. In many ways, I am capable of having more success than what the current industry “heavyweights” are doing simply because their system is completely outdated. Rather than pointing fingers at themselves as to why no one purchases music any longer, they try to excuse their ineptitude on piracy. My objective is to find an investor or group of investors that are willing to put forth $50,000 as startup capitol. This is an investment based on trust, and therefore, it is equally important for me to have full faith and trustworthiness in the investor as it is for them to trust me. I would like to talk further in depth to any individuals or group of individuals interested in my proposal. I believe that in the end, both parties can benefit from this undertaking.
