Description:
Based in Hebron, Ohio, the Company is establishing a state of the art facility to support the production of wood/natural fiber composite (WPC) feedstock for manufacturers who are looking to use custom formulations of WPC in product profiles including windows, furniture, fencing and decking. For these manufacturers, combining wood and plastic into a composite addresses environmental concerns such as sustainability, but also provides an aesthetic, low maintenance and cost effective alternative to traditional materials. With forecasted revenues of $7 million in first full year of operation, Polymera’s objective is to leverage its seasoned management team, advanced manufacturing technology and expanding sales pipeline to gain a significant share of the $2 billion plus WPC market.
The Company, established in 2010, was founded by experienced plastics industry executives. Over $10 million of state of the art equipment was contributed to the Company in exchange for founding equity. This equipment has been transported to the Company’s manufacturing facility in Ohio and is positioned to begin production following the proposed financing. The Company is already in discussions with a number of leading manufacturers who are interested in sourcing WPC feedstock from Polymera and using Polymera’s considerable experience and expertise in WPC to re-tool existing wood and plastic-based products by leveraging WPC formulations.
