Description: I am a licensed clinical social worker, certified hypnotherapist and certified sex therapist. I have been in private practice since 1985 and it is a successful business. In 2004 I launched my website (URL removed). They are workshops given once a month on a different sexual topic. I started with just a few people attending and now have begun having 30 or more people with a following. The workshops contain NO NUDITY or inappropriateness as I am licensed by the State of Florida. I can best describe the workshops as part standup comedy, entertainment and educational. There is audience participation and it is all good clean fun. I have also found a niche as there are more men that have responded than women. I have realized I have given men a place to feel comfortable, ask questions and gain more knowledge. It seems men do not talk to other men about sexual issues, concerns, etc. and their primary doctors give them a subscription for a pill, but may not have the time to talk to them. I have been in most of the South Florida magazines and can send you articles, etc. I am also writing a book with a doctor which will be called SEXRX and will be out in 2009. I have also recently started videotaping the workshops, because I am getting requests from people that are unable to make the workshops. Due to the cost, the videos are not the greatest and the location (a local restaurant)has not been the best for filming. I can also send you a copy of the last workshop. I want to expand the business so that people can download the workshops. My web designer also approached me in a business venture which involves downloads of the workshops as well as a series of hypnosis tapes on all different subjects. That website is (URL removed) and was recently created. I have been paying for everything on my own, but it is the advertising and getting the word out that has been the most difficult financially. I would like to be able to pick a better venue to hold the workshops, advertise in more locations, expand the download portion of the business with quality filming, and sell products. The business has grown with just recently a profit, but it has been a struggle for my alone to continue.
