TLC Home is Residential Care Home for youth ages 10-21 dedicated to helping emotionally and behaviorally troubled children live (URL removed) program will form partnerships with Children & Family Services, local school districts, the juvenile court system and mental health systems. The goal would be to increase the youth’s skillful behavior, to prepare youth for productive lives, as well as to assist families as they support youth re-integrating into home and community. In Southwest Houston there are over 1400 homeless youth in need of care in intervention. Caring staff members will provide a structured routine to help children settle into a regulated lifestyle with clearly set expectations and a system of rewards and (URL removed) will be teaching youth key skills that improve the likelihood of remaining crime free, of succeeding in school and at work, and of improving their relationships with their families and other community supports.
I have over 7 years experience in the care provider industry. I have worked with disabled youth and at risk youth. I pose a Bachelors of Science in Business Management. I current manage The Mint Resource Center and work with at-risk kids doing homework after school and creating programs and services to have youth engaged and participating as active citizens in society. I am passionate about youth and their emotional health and well-being.
