My company owns the patent on a snap-in kitchen faucet. This was my design and I started the company based on it. It allows one of our faucets, in a rental unit, to be replaced in about one minute. This makes for a significant savings in time and money for the apartment owners.
My investors took us through the patent process and making the injection molds required to make this product work.
As soon as we had a finished product ready to take to market 6 of our investors decided it was a good time to try and take it. As I had used all of my money and all the company money to get us to that point and was just starting to raise the money to take it to market I almost lost everything due to the suit they threw at me and the company.
