Description: Purpose of the Invention: OMWAT – One Minute Waiter Alert Timer was designed to improve customer service at a restaurant. This innovative device allows a restaurant patron to alert a server when needed rather than waiting for the server to return to the table. This handy unit can be used discreetly to summon a server, eliminating embarrassing moments for customers and staff members. OMWAT is a great tool that will also encourage a server to respond in a timely manner when needed. Problem[s] the Invention Solves: Restaurant patrons often arrive at an establishment hungry. After being seated, some may wait for an extended period of time before a server comes to the table. This can frustrate consumers and cause the staff to appear unprofessional. OMWAT – One Minute Waiter Alert Timer is a unique system designed to enable a seated patron to alert the server when needed. Consumers can call a server to the table at any time throughout the meal, ensuring prompt service. This device can also allow a server free time to perform related duties, eliminating unnecessary visits to a table. Detailed Description of the Invention: OMWAT – One Minute Waiter Alert Timer is a unique system designed to enable a restaurant patron to alert a server in a discreet and direct manner, when needed. The unit comprises a tabletop device that is used by the consumer to send a request and a receiver component worn by the server, which will pick up that request for service. A seated patron simply presses the activation button placed securely on his table, which will then send a signal to the component worn by the designated server. Server components are made in several different designs including a pager type device and a watch type unit. The pager style unit is made with a clip on the backside for wear on a belt, pants or shirt pocket. This component features a button that will enable the server to turn off the active alert. The watch style unit can be secured on the wrist by an adhesive material. This component also notes a button that will enable the server to turn off the active alert. These battery-operated components are made with specific table numbers of a section on the screen or face. With the activation of a patron’s call button, the table number on the server’s component is highlighted to correspond with that of the table requesting assistance. The receiver component also vibrates for additional attention. In this manner, a server can immediately identify which table needs service. For example, patrons seated at table 1 can press their activation button to alert the server. The frequency from this unit travels to the server’s component to highlight the number associated with that table. Each receiver unit features multiple frequencies made to correspond with the specific frequency of each table in that server’s section. The OMWAT system can be made of durable materials with the electronic components required for proper function. Each portion of the unit utilizes rechargeable batteries. OMWAT can be made in sizes and styles needed to best suit users. i have a website done talks about the product, please email me for details.
