Set up the manufacture fascilities in 2004, we were engaged in manufaturing all kinds of metal eyeglass frames for the distributors and name brand optical companies throughout the world. We were doing very well in 2005 and 2006, and after 2007, due to the USA financial crises, we suffered set back and non-payment for completed orders and now after 2 year struggling, we are ready to expand and attract some more fund to go to the next level development. My personal background----two degrees in VA tech and george Mason and my whole family have been engaged in this eyeglass busienss in China, while Dayang City has been one of the world biggest eyeglass manufacturing city ever since 1990. We shall have great opportunities there to earn more and more profit in this highly paid industry.

ZXL Optical Co. manufactures custom-designed hand-painted stainless steel optical frames, Flexible Titanium Optical Frames, Monel optical frames as well as sunglasses and readers for both children and adults. The company was founded by Leon Xie, who brings his own 12 years of experiences and a whole set of unique skills and talents to the business. The company is currently based in the industrial park that used to be a Middle School—we rent the new buildings that used to be teachers offices and classrooms. We will be moving to the Situ Optical Garden as soon as we reach an agreement with the Town Management board. Our customers, however, are mostly from the following countries: Canada, USA, France, Germany, Autralia, Mexico, Guatemala and Brazil. ZXL Optical Co. was registered in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province way back in May 2004. We officially opened for business on June 1, 2004. In May 2004, we only had 3 employees. One month later, we added 9 more and in November 2004, we had 23 employees. Starting from March 2005, we have been regularly paying 56 employees in this factory. In 2006, ZXL was well known as the best pay, the most punctual pay and the friendliest-to-the-workers factories in Situ Town. Experienced workers all love to come to work in this factory. It was just so easy to find good workers. We had about 68 workers in payroll for many months in 2006. What is more important, though, each optical product in our factory for individual client was produced to match exactly with customer specifications. We have reached our customers through our Web site, by including the product in high-end catalogs, and through international trade shows and personal visit to clients’ office. 2007 saw a smooth maintaining period and we were running our business with ease and steady income. 2008 was a hard year for us as we were deeply affected by the USA clients who did not have money to take their ordered products. In 2009, after May, due to my personal health problems and lack of time to manage the business, we suffered three major client losses and currently we are facing some hardships financially. We now have 4 sales people fully engaged in making sales and expanding our market. We will maximize contact with our clients by training 2 more sales reps and improving our services and quality to meet the challenge of the new optical world.
Our Market
The optical frame market is highly profitable and competitive, but we have entered this arena with a unique
Product line: flexible titanium frames that can be twisted and bent and our hand-painted stainless steel frame product with acetate temples are currently very popular. Since quality and individuality and exclusivity are three crucial components in this market, most competitors are small assembling workshops and design studios, each typically producing one single specific optical frame line. The main competition comes in presenting the real quality and exclusively fashion frames. Less than a handful of other companies producing truly quality flexible products, we will be able to command our factory positioning with very little competition.
Our target customers take three main forms: major chain stores throughout the world, major distributors and wholesalers and the most important, brand name companies that need us to produce their brand.
