Group seeks to expand its market position in the healthcare information technology (HIT) marketplace by broadening its’ target market and offering strategic products and services for a newly defined healthcare practice and provider market.
As a direct result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) stimulus plan, this market will experience unparallel growth in the next five (5) years. Growth will begin immediately with allocation of over $36 billion US in incentives payments for HIT development by Congress as a part of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) act. Distribution of these funds are as non-payback incentive funds paid directly to medical practitioners. There is a deadline date of 2015 to receive these funds – receipt of the funds is in yearly increments for five years and total up to $60K per practitioner and $2mil per hospital.
As an established provider, Sony Web Group has leading edge software and services in the healthcare Practice Management, Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Billing and Receivable management and ambulatory areas. These products will be in high demand by a large part of the marketplace. Sony Web Group products are Medicare certified for the marketplace and have leading edge technologies that allow them to be competitive. Plans are in place to certify the hospital-based products as a part of this growth phase.
Sony Web Group is seeking $400K and up to $5Mil from one or more investors. Funds will be used for development of marketing, sales, advertising, and small staff increase. Additionally growth funds of up to $10Million may be pursued after this 1st phase depending on market conditions.
