I have started a business that has been a life long passion and I am in the process of patenting a new product that ties into the renovation business. The paten that I am seeking involves a crown moulding system that the average homeowner will be able to install with ease and have professional results every time. My definition of professional results is having tight inside / outside corners and any joints that will never come apart regardless of the season. Not only will they never come apart but they will not be visible and the crown will look like one piece.. There is no company in the world that offers this and I have been installing crown for fifteen years and I have perfected this product with countless research and developing time. I have a 30 year machinist background that includes 16 years in a manual shop and the past 14 years in the aero space industry on computerize machinery .I have walked away from a high paying job at Pratt to work at my passion and to paten my crown moulding system. I was hoping to invest the 80,000 in pension money but what they did not tell me was that the money is locked in and I can only transfer the money into a locked in RRSP which can be invested in the stock market but I can not invest in my only company. I am at the stage of seeking a paten lawyer and spending 5,000 dollars to get the green light and I am seeking an investor to be able to proceed to a full paten status, which is in the 25,000 dollar range.
