Description: My name is Larry Plotnick, an experienced retail executive and the General Manager that oversaw the growth of Game Crazy, the 2nd largest specialty Video Game retailer in the US. The Video Game industry has undergone explosive growth over the past few years, exceeding $22B in the US in 2007 and currently growing over 21% in 2008. This growth has been fueled by a significant change in the demographics of the industry; with woman over the age of 18 now representing a greater portion of the game-playing population than boys age 17 and younger – while gamers over the age of 50 are now nearly 24% of the industry. These growth statistics, coupled with the lack of a strong player in the industry prepared to meet the demand of these new entries into the market, has created an opportunity for a new player in the market place. I have spent the past year developing a team and business plan to take advantage of this opportunity. We have concluded that the most viable and profitable solution is an organization focused on both corporate and franchising to maximize the buying leverage that is critical in this industry while also creating more long-term value for the ownership of the business. To that end we have set-up all of the required vendor partnerships, completed our Franchise Disclosure Documents and are now looking for an equity partner that has both startup experience and expertise in the retail sector.
