Description: I have developed an after-school program to merge with local schools that are located in the lower income communities, with the goal of creating a quality after-school program. The purpose the Learning Blocks after-school program is to increase the number of children ages 4-14 to be served in a high quality, school based after-school program and decrease the number of children forced to walk home to an empty house lacking parental guidance and supervision. The goals that Learning Blocks are aiming to achieve will promote growth and opportunity for students in financially disadvantage low income communities. Learning Blocks is an after-school program designed to embrace the needs of both students and working parents. My programs are school based programs,which provides students and parents the comfort of a familiar and secure surrounding.
