Description:
EmmasChild Productions is an LLC based in the state of Michigan. The purpose of the company is the development and production of independent motion pictures. The company’s first feature-length film will be the dramedy "Somebody’s Baby." "Somebody’s Baby" is budgeted at approximately $1.5 million. It tells the story of Autumn, a 40-year-old African-American woman, single and desperate to have a child, who sees her chance to become a mother when her high-school-aged niece is faced with an unwanted pregnancy. The movie marks the feature film directorial debut of LaKesha N. Taylor, a native Detroiter with extensive experience working in independent films.
We anticipate Somebody’s Baby to be ready for distributors to examine no later than one year after the full receipt of financing. The management team’s efforts in producing Somebody’s Baby will yield substantial budgeting and creative advantages over having this picture made by a major motion picture studio. The advantages of the Michigan Productive Incentive provide an even greater benefit. These advantages should translate into a significant profit opportunity for EmmasChild Productions and its investors.
