Description: I started VanFleet Welding as a 16 year old high school student. I took Welding at a vocational trade school and went on to the Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2004 for welding and fabrication engineering. After graduating college in 2008, I made VanFleet Welding an LLC. Since then I have gone from about 50 local customers and a pickup truck to well over 200 customers and 5 trucks and various other equipment for welding and fabrication. Since 2008 I have done approximately 600k or more in sales and have managed to own all my equipment. In the last two years I have had to hire help as I can not do everything my self any more and have found it hard to progress simply because I have been unable to obtain a loan for longer than 6 to 18 months. Banks simply are not lending and won't use my equipment as collateral leaving no choice but to take loans from companies like Ondeck. Currently I am at a point in business were I have all the equipment but hardly enough working capital to function properly of course we are in the dead of winter. In 2013 my net sales were 275k, and the out look for 2014 is promising as I expect to break 350K. I have two indoor water parks to build, a job starting soon at the Tobyhanna Army depot, a steel building to erect and a good size job for a company called Baker Hughes. This is all work in excess of what I would consider normal to last years work. I also have many local business to work for as well. I am looking for an investor that understands my situation and also realizes the extreme shortage of skilled welders. With my education and experience and business reputation I am positioned to do very well in the future as long as I can secure funds with terms that I have more say in, and by that I mean I am seeking an investor that is willing to take some risk understanding where business is going for VanFleet Welding. I have great Potential and I'm starting to work for extremely large business that will no doubt keep me busy, and I am able to name my price because there simply just are not enough businesses out there with my degree of knowledge in the welding field, or large enough to handle the work I can.
