We started our business in 2004 making only our Famous Ape Biscuits for friends and family members as gifts for their fur-babies. Which was an over night success with the bones. We started slowly expanding our product line of treats to over 40 different flavors only later to once again downsize them to what we have now; our most purchased, asked about and famous treats from the Pugz Brand USDA Organic, human grade line of treats.
But we don't stop there with our products. All of our products to date and will always be made by hand and are always fresh. We do NOT nor will ever use any harmful chemicals such as BHT/BHA (a leading cause of animal cancer) nor do we purchase any of our ingredients from outside of the United States. 99% of all of our ingredients are actually grown on our vary own Pugz Brand Family Farm. We own and operate over 500 acres around the United States. This farmland is not only used for ingredients in our products but also for human consumption as well. If you visit our Materials Used page you will find a list of all of our products that we use and if we grow/process that ingredient or not. For those that have asked where our farms are located they are in: Ohio, Michigan, Virgina, Flordia, California, California and Hawaii.
Our USDA Organic Certification not only covers our treats but also all of our farms as well. We take great pride in all of our farms and give back to Mother Nature as much as we can. This even involves operating a 100% Zero Carbon Footprint each and every day.
